yoga space

(music) let me know when all systems are go we want to get-did i just trigger that? or did you? the outer space is a musical about a couplethat buys a spaceship.

yoga space, and, they live in it, which is, uh, a challengein many ways. (music) he wants to get to it all. (dialogue) one of the most exciting thingsabout the outer space is that it is a completely genre busting event.

its not cabaret, its definitely a musical, its also definitely a kind of solo-show with a band. (leigh) i was also wondering if the communicator has a sound. you know, and if it's like. (ethan) oh, when i do that *click.* yeah okay. (leigh) my job is to figure out how to help story tell with ethan and with the band in a way that's gonna be a kind of exciting theatrical experience.

the place i'd like to pick up is just at the end. we've already done the "plinks and the plunks." i like it when it ended though, when it ends on the crack. its really, um, well its miserable. (ethan) terrible this show has a kind of a country vibe flowing through it i think of it as american music

(leigh) i feel like i describe ethan's music sometimes as um "rock meets the muppet show." that, that sounds fair (singing) when i open my eyes in the darkness (ethan dialogue) i'm super inspired by willie nelson, tom waitts you know, a lot of the sort of troubadours of that era i think in part because they

were story tellers (singing) and you open your mouth and show me something fun (saxophone) you brought me the sun (leigh) i think this is the exact right spot for us to be because it is a stylistically adventurous and unpredictable wildly unique piece. and, nobody does that better than the public.

(ethan) for me to be doing something in this building with this sort of family of creative people, is sort of the dream of a career. (singing) you brought me the sun (dialogue) yeah, that feels nice to me. we should take a break take a break
