i'm linda black. we started in tadasana withour breathing. we are going to work into half sun salutations so combining breath with movement.starting while by taking your hands down to your side, take a deep breath in, palms awayand lift the arms overhead as you lift lift from the solar plexus upward through the sternumand spine, exhale. dive forward with a flat back, extending the crown of the head forwardto a forward fold, utanasana, inhale to a


highland yoga, flat back here again extending here againthrough the spine. create a balance with the sit bones drawing back as the crown of thehead draws forward. exhale round it down and in, bring the arms alongside the torso withthe strong udianabonda or contraction of the belly, inhale and come all the way to standing.that's one for our first. on our second series,


a, hands to your heart center, inhale againextend but keep your eyes closed. so we're going to take out our major source of balancewhich comes from our eyes and rely on our other three sources which are the semi circularcanal of the inner ear. go ahead and dive forward and continue through that sun salutation,listening to the balance mechanism, the other balance mechanisms besides the eyes. so theeyes tend to position us based on the position of the horizon. the other portion of balancecomes from the inner ear. go ahead and move through your series, half sun salutation,keep moving to the third one. also the pressure sensors on the feet effecting tilting of thebody nerve endings in your joints, muscles, tendons and skin signaling the angle of yourlimbs, trunk, neck, and head detecting force,


stretch and pressure. so keeping the eyesclosed rely on these other three balance senses during this frame and the next following twoframes. that's our third sun salutation. again arms alongside the torso, lifting with a flatback, strong contraction in the abdomen and exhale, hands to your heart. ready for thenext frame.
