 return of summer warmth in the middle of october. with plenty of sunshine and unseasonably warm temps today's the day people are taking off their jackets or simply leaving them at home. we've left our rainy weather stuff at home and we're headed into the park. we have a small child who's very happy. he can run around central park. three locations are likely to tie records today, islip, bridgeport, and laguardia. with forecast highs of 76, 79 and 80 degrees respectively, if they reach those temps, they'll tie decades old records. in central park, the record for today is a steamy 90 degrees, and we won't come close to that, but it will still be plenty warm. the forecast high of 78 degrees is the normal temperature for june 12th. that just means that i can wear my shorts. i can relax a little bit. maybe i'm going to break a sweat on my ride but that's all right. i think it's absolutely fabulous. it's a gorgeous fall day. i hope that we'll have
